What you need:

  • Warm water
  • A bowl

 

Let me show you how to make matcha tea. Into a cup or a bowl, add one to  2 scoops of matcha tea powder. If you are having it for the first time, start with one scoop. One scoop of matcha tea is equivalent to 1/4 of an ordinary teaspoon. Add a little hot but not boiling water, mix it well with a spoon then add in the rest of the water and mix well. I also like to use a small whisk to mix the tea.

Have this tea half an hour before breakfast or lunch. Do not add sugar, honey or cow’s milk to matcha tea. The chlorophyll present in matcha tea which actually gives the tea its vibrant green color is very effective in the cleaning process of the body.
